Children's Mental Health Week is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about children's mental well-being. Launched in 2015 by the children’s mental health charity Place2Be, the week aims to empower, equip, and give a voice to children and young people across the UK.
When is Children's Mental Health Week 2025?
This year, Children's Mental Health Week will take place from 3rd to 9th February 2025. This marks the 11th year of the event, which has grown into an important moment for schools
, families, and communities to come together and support children's mental well-being.
The Theme: Know Yourself, Grow Yourself
The theme for Children's Mental Health Week 2025 is "Know Yourself, Grow Yourself." This theme encourages children, young people, and adults to embrace self-awareness and explore what it means to them. By better understanding their emotions, strengths, and personal identities, children can develop resilience and the tools needed to navigate life's challenges.
Special Partnerships for 2025
This year, Place2Be is partnering with Here4You, supported by The Walt Disney Company and featuring beloved characters from Pixar’s Inside Out and Inside Out 2. This collaboration will help bring the theme "Know Yourself, Grow Yourself" to life through engaging resources that encourage children to explore their emotions and self-identity.
With the support of Inside Out 2 characters, children across the UK will be inspired to build resilience, express their feelings, and develop a deeper understanding of who they are.
How to Get Involved
Schools & Educators: Teachers can access free resources to help integrate mental well-being activities into the classroom.
Parents & Caregivers: Families can take part by having open discussions about emotions and encouraging self-awareness at home.
Communities & Organizations: Businesses and local groups can show support by spreading awareness and providing safe spaces for children to express themselves.
Children's Mental Health Week 2025 is a fantastic opportunity to champion the importance of mental well-being in young people. By embracing the theme "Know Yourself, Grow Yourself," we can help create a world where children feel empowered, resilient, and confident in who they are.
