The Joshua Tree is an amazing charity based in Northwich, Cheshire, that provides essential help and support for families affected by childhood cancers. The charity offers tailored support to the whole family at the hardest time in their lives, from initial diagnosis through to treatment and after. The centre offers counselling, well-being programmes and much more to its users, creating a welcoming environment to those who need it. Read more about this fantastic charity here.

The Joshua Tree Support Centre was selected for this year's DIY SOS for BBC Children in Need, where volunteers from all across the UK came together to help transform the support centre in just 12 days! Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team, along with over 250 generous volunteers, worked tirelessly to create a brand new facility that is truly remarkable.

The Joshua Tree is an existing customer of ours, so when we saw that they needed volunteers for the transformation of their support centre, we knew we had to be involved! We contacted DIY SOS regarding the project to see how we could help, we then met with a member of the team to discuss what we could donate to be part of the new outdoor space.

For the project, The Playground Company donated:
We also donated a Maintenance Package and clean of their existing artificial grass surface, to make sure it looked perfect for the reveal day!

The Playground Company are incredibly honoured to be a part of this worth-while project, and seeing how a community can pull together to achieve this huge transformation was inspiring. We hope The Joshua Tree love their new space where they can continue to provide such amazing support to those who need it.
