Introduction

We have worked with Broomwood Hall Schools on multiple occasions across three of their education settings and are a highly valued customer of ours. We have worked with them at Broomwood Boys School in Wandsworth to create an adventure playground for their boys, aged 7 to 13.

Area of installation

Project Details

The area previously had no equipment and was just an area of artificial grass – we wanted to utilize this space to provide somewhere for the pupils to let of steam during break and lunch times, by adding climbing equipment. The school also wanted to leave some of the artificial grass free so that they had somewhere to play sports too.

For this project, to cater for the difference in age and abilities across the students, we installed a Clamber Stack Zio which is one of our larger climbing frames. This gives the children a suitable amount of challenge and benefits from multiple different elements, such as a climbing wall, drop ropes, and scramble nets. We also added a Monkey Ladder to link to the Clamber Stack, to help the pupils develop their upper body strength.

For the younger pupils at the schools, we added an Adventure Fort with scramble net and steps. This gives the children somewhere to sit, in the ‘hideaway’, as well as somewhere to climb.

Result

The students at this school now have somewhere to run, climb and play football, helping them to develop their strength and agility, as well as team work and communication.
