The Playground Company work in conjunction with RoSPA to provide inspections on new or existing play equipment and safety surfacing. Playground inspections offer you peace of mind. Furthermore, they confirm that any new or existing playground equipment has been installed correctly. Alongside this, it ensures that installation meets modern standards.

RoSPA offer post installation inspections and 6 monthly or 12 monthly playground inspections. The British and European safety standard BS EN1176 and the Health and Safety Executive strongly recommend that all play areas have at least one inspection every year from an independent suitably qualified body such as RoSPA.

Play Area Safety Information:

Most of all, safety is pivotal. After installation, it is advisable that a regular maintenance plan keeps the play area thoroughly clean and in good repair.

During the time that your playground inspection is taking place you are able to request a Routine Inspection Checklist. This will offer you a specific list of items that should be regularly checked. This has elements that need checking weekly, monthly or quarterly.

Working with this list not only offers confidence to you but it also offers confirmation that you are complying with your legal ‘duty of care’.
